A dream (where I get most story ideas)

NOTE: I changed the title of my blog from "Artistic rambling" to "rambling and stories" because a good friend pointed out that my favorite ideas of things to write, weren't literally artistic. So I had to either limit myself, or change my idea to fit what I thought i'd enjoy doing. Also, I hope that no body steals my story ideas, because i hope to eventually write them or illustrate them. However, I think the date stamp on my blog will be enough evidence to validate my original idea. (or as original as I believe it is)
ALSO: In this particular post what you will be reading is what I literally dreamt (put into a narrative format) so I only remember the epic climax of the dream, the clash of good and evil in the story, and upon suggestions (and as I think about the story over time) I will fill out the beginning and the finale, maybe this scene will start my story, maybe it will end it, but this is literally what I remember it starting and ending at.

**************************************************************************************
When the dream starts I have memory of a huge war, and a kingdom of which I was queen. I had born a child about a year ago, who would one day be prince. The was was against a seemingly infinite army of harpies, although there were less than a hundred at a time, after a few died, more flew in, therefore their numbers never seemed to dwindle. Two beautiful women lead this army, they stood with only two sets of wings upon their backs, nothing else. They recently declared that a third winged woman would join them, and as the queen of the harpies, this queen would foretell their doom. I had been in the castle witch's quarters, because i believed that she was behind everything, and the dream starts after she catches me in her study.
***************************************************************************************

There was nothing I could do about it, I didn't know magic. Her magic enveloped me, and I felt my body change. New bones and muscles formed on my back , and the new weight on my back began to throw my balance off. I leaned forward, and fell to my knees with one hand propping myself up. I didn't know what was happening, but i did not want her to feel she had defeated me.
Her smirk was unfaltering, she knew she had finally removed me from the picture, no matter how stubborn I was, she believed herself victorious. As my body changed, my corset began to tighten around my waist, and i knew I would soon suffocate. After glancing around her study I grabbed an extravagant dagger from her desk and tore through the clothing at my chest gasping for air. Not soon followed by a swift smack from her staff and the blade fell from my hands. A second blow came to knock me onto my back and away from the knife. At this point my transformation finished, and I realized what I now had become.
Two powerful sets of wings broke my fall, and I was able to use them to instinctively push my body upright again. I looked up at Lillith, (I don't remember any names from the dream itself, but I'm naming the people just so it is easier to tell them apart.) who smiled down at my shocked face. As I realized this I returned my expression to a stubborn scowl.
     "Why?"
She grinned even wider, if it were possible. "Now I was praying that you'd ask me that question, because the answer is so simple, yet so genius if I do say so myself!" I said nothing. "You do not appreciate my genius though now, do you?" She turned and pouted at me,inches from my face, mocking me.
"I'll bite your lower lip off! Just try me." I hissed.
"Oh! You would never harm such a beautiful face!" Nevertheless she stood up again, not taking her chances. "As you have so obviously guessed, why else would you be lurking in my study if you had not realized that I have orchestrated this war. I'll leave out the boring details on why those harpies do my bidding, but the most important part of it all was you." She paused for emphasis. "Yes, I come off so kind to all of the castle subjects, but you saw right through my disguise, or did you?" She was now walking around the room, thinking very highly of herself. "No, you didn't, I was rude around you, making it so you felt that you were the only one that could tell. However even a low rate sorceress has the ability to act. I let you see my true self. I wanted you to see."
She leaned in, not too close but just enough that I felt the urge to bite her again. I snapped my teeth at her.
Lillith laughed heartily at me. "So cute. You act like you're so smart, but you played right into my trap, right into my grand plan. All along I had planed for you to be the queen, the third angel. You will lead the harpies to their victory, your own people will know that it was you who betrayed them!"
I barely opened my mouth before she spoke over me.
"Of course, you could always run to you noble husband and try and explain everything, and maybe if you're lucky he wont cut you down as soon as he sees you. How else would he react to a creature like you bursting through the door, there would be no thought, just action!" She swung her staff like a sword coming down on someone's head in midair. "Then lets say you die there, they realize it was you, and know you were a monster. Your husband might not believe it, but the kingdom would, and I still win the war. The men who fought for your good name would be so crushed. However!" She held a finger in the air. "Lets say he doesn't cut you down immediately, and he does fall for your story. How does he explain to the castle that even though you're a beast now, you're still the good guy? How does he tell them sweet little Lillith has started this whole war, when she has been seen striking down harpies left and right on the battle field? How does he tell the people that your only son is not an evil demon spawn? How?"
     I couldn't think of anything.
"That's right, he doesn't. He has no choice but to send you away, and hope you never return. He has to pray that none of his guards see you leave. He has to tell everyone that you perished by the hands of a harpy. Not me. No, he would even still have to put on a good face around me. Best case he tries to get evidence like you did, or win the war so he can take you back home."
At this point I had been fidgeting a lot, not from fear, but I was attempting to figure out my newfound balance issues. I then lunged at her with outstretched hands.
She was caught by surprise but only had to side step swiftly past my attempted attack, followed quickly by a crack of her staff against my new wings.
"Stop being so stubborn and let me appeal to your sense of survival, because there is one other scenario for you." She looked to see if I was listening, I really didn't have much of a choice. "Join the harpies. Yes, you still betray your castle, yes you still lose a lot, but you have your life, and you can move on. Or I can kill you now, and save myself the trouble." She pointed the staff at my throat.
"So if I go with the harpies, you'll stop trying to kill me?"
     "Most likely."
It was my best option. Yet, I felt it was the wrong one.
"I'll do it." I decided to go along with her plan until I could see a fourth option to get out of my situation.
"What? Really? I so thought I was going to have to kill you. Maybe we aren't so different." She smiled and lead me away without a word. She took me over to her fireplace, where she revealed a false wall. "Go on."
     I hesitated.
Another crack against my backside sent me into the tunnel where the door sealed behind me. I only had to go forward.

(Dream will continue later, typing out conversations takes forever! there is however a time lapse in this point of my dream. Therefore a fitting point to stop. In the time lapse I remember learning how to balance and fly. I wore no clothes, it was not fitting for harpies or the winged girls to ever wear clothes. I also found out the reason the harpies never lost battles. They were essentially robots for lack of a better term at the moment. In which their deaths were absolutely meaningless, and they obeyed every command of the 2 angel girls. On top of that the reason one showed up as another died was because they were summoned creatures, and you could only summon so many at once, however as long as one harpy remained it was quite simple to continue to summon more. Therefore if one perished another was immediately summoned to keep the number at the max possible. However if no harpies remained it was very painstaking to summon the first, a circle needed to be drawn. This was my driving goal, because if I found a way to destroy all of them at once i'd save my kingdom.)
